Eulah Hugill: aha....... nice question.......Mythology consists a lovable part of Greek "Literature".......it is not only History as in the imagination of simple people, but "ethological" stories, that showed types of people and situations......the good citizen, the wise man, the great warrior, the constant slave, the smart woman....... but bad types as well the greedy one, the cheating husbands etc etc etc etc etc...... so, it can give us much information upon the people, their beliefs and their culture...... so it's taught as a part of the History, in the chapters regarding Ancient Greece...........it starts from primary school, and continues until the endthere is not a subject called "Mythology", but its into the subject of History...... Its compulsory......We, in high school, have 4-5 hours! of History.......In the beginner classes, only the main 12 gods are taught and somebasic myths...... but then, there are more myths taught........the subject is FUN......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PURE FUN...........!!!!!!!!1furthermore, there is bibliography for more extensive research we can do on our own, or use on our projects, on myths, and their significance..........------------------------hope i helped......!!!feel free to mail me for any more questions.....!!!...Show more
