Why is gambling a sin?

Satan has challenged God's right to rule this Earth. He said he could do just as good or even better. This took place when Satan deceived Eve in the Garden. God allows Satan to show how wrong he is. God also! promises to reverse all that Satan does to man through His Kingdom with Jesus as King. The things we see today shows that God's time given to Satan is running out. I like some of the answers given that it is really just greed and that greed is a sin and that you are stealing from your family and the idolatry of Lucky numbers, but really those are suppositions and doctrine! should not be based on suppositions. I did like the answers though.As ! far as I'm concerned gambling is not a sin UNLESS it replaces God as most important in your life. But that is true of all things not mentioned in scripture. But again.. that is a supposition on my part. When I gamble its a rare occasion and it is budgeted as entertainment. If my wife and I are going out and we decide to go to the Casino to dance (only place there is live music for dancing around here) and we say Okay tonight we can spend x amount of dollars then we don't go over that amount. Go by this.Romans 14:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin. Now this is scripture dealing with the eating of common foods (Not unclean like the "I don't know by bible but I'm going to spout the nonsense my preacher teaches me" Christians claim) but the principle is good. If you doubt you should do it then don't because if you do think you might be sinning .. You are.
