Barton Sease: better get Maaco..
Lucrecia Laurito: What car wash do you use if you use washing up liquid it messes up your car.
Patricia Dornbos: Can't do nothing about it now. Sounds like a top layer of a quickly sprayed car paint is letting go. Improper prep. before they painted it. If it is going, let it go. At this moment do not wax.(that just makes it harder for the bodyshop to evaluate the actual problem and the extent) They start guessing. They don't want to guess low. Just wash it clean with soap and water and hose off. Take it to a body shop ( two or three is more preferable) and have them take a look at it and evaluate what is going on and the quote, or if there is something else you can do.. (It is something one has to look at, not imagine.)...Show more
Blair Abdi: maybe wherever the paintjob was done was cheap. the original paintjob could last forever. a decent paint job costs about $3000 that should last about 10 years! . anything less than $1000 shouldnt be expected to last more than 2-3 years before the paint starts flaking away.
Autumn Vacio: Your paint has actually 3 layers. The primer, the color, and the clearcoat. If you have failed to polish and wax your car or if you are washing your car with dish detergent or other abrassive soap, not specifically designed for washing cars, you are literally sanding your car's paint off every time you wash it. The reason "apparently" nothing happened before when you wash your car in the sun (another big NO-NO) is because the paint that was coming off was the clear coat (the shiny layer of the car), since that layer has worn off, now your color layer of paint is washing off. The reason the car doesn't shine anymore when it's dry is because the clear coat has worn off and you are looking straight at the paint. Eventually if you keep doing the same, you can expect the primer (a grayish layer) to start showing up.You can wax the car to pre! vent any more paint from coming off, but to make it shiny agai! n you need to repaint it. I woud definitely recommend washing it away from the sun. Heat makes it easier for paint to come off. Paiting the car will run you about 600, but if there are any dents that need to be fixed first, it can vary greatly....Show more
