Do you separate colors/darks/whites when you do laundry?

Elli Esaw: I usually try to keep whites separate just in case. First time of washing it's always best to wash darks separately as that is when they are most likely to run. There is a product on the market which you can put into mixed washes to stop any color run. And there are products that you can use if you do get any color run so using either of these will stop any problems with doing mixed washes which is more economical and environmentally friendly.

Randa Hessell: Separate. I don't think you would want frilly things in with my greasy work clothes.

Bethanie Menden: Absolutely! I always separate the clothes when I do laundry. I don't want to have anything ruined by colors they shouldn't be mixed with. Just the other day when I was doing all the laundry, I had whites to be washed but not enough to be a "large" load, so I just ran a small one. Most washers have different size settings so it's easy to do a small or medium load when needed. Since I'm always do! ing my own laundry as well as my boyfriend's laundry (we live together), I very rarely have anything but large loads to do. It happens on occasion though, and in that case I just run a smaller load. Honestly, if my grandmother ever found out I wasn't sorting my laundry I think she would have heart palpitations. Haha! Lulu Bukowiecki: I used to, but lately, I just wash everything together, and it doesn't make much difference. I use cold water. I don't use very ;many white clothes !
